Kingston Lacy - Out of House walks
Kingston Lacy are running an additional programme of walks to the Guided Walks detailed below. They are an opportunity to experience the park and estate, including areas not usually accessible, at a tranquil time before normal property opening times. They will be gentle strolls of about 3 miles, starting from the main KL car park. They are free walks - donations welcome - and open to non National Trust members. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
9.30am from main KL car park - Third Monday of each month. There will be no walk in April.
Kingston Lacy Guided Walks - 2020
Fun and friendly strolls with one of the Kingston Lacy volunteer walk leaders. Walks are free for all age groups -
Suggested donation £2 per walker. For more information call 01202 883402 (line 8).
Sorry, no dogs are allowed on the walks. Walks are not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before start of walk.
Friday 7 February - Meet 9.45am at KL car park (OS Explorer 118 ST 977014)
Swan Way & The Droves - Distance 6 miles - Approx 3 hours.
Brush of the cobwebs and enjoy a wintry walk through the KL parkland and the beautiful network of droves to Shapwick and return along the majestic Beech Avenue.
Friday 6 March - Meet 9.45am at car park next to the Parish Church of St Bartholomew

Shapwick & Tarrant Crawford - Distance 6 miles - Approx 2-3 hours.
See the countryside coming to life on this Spring walk. Take in the village of Shapwick and the landscape adjacent to the River Tarrant; also visit the Church of St Mary - a protected ancient building with paintings dating from the 13thC.

Badbury Rings - Distance 5.3 miles - Approx 3-3.5 hours.
A walk taking in fine views from the Iron Age fort of Badbury Rings.
