Kingston Lacy - Out of House walks
Kingston Lacy are running an additional programme of walks to the Guided Walks detailed below. They are an opportunity to experience the park and estate, including areas not usually accessible, at a tranquil time before normal property opening times. They will be gentle strolls of about 3 miles, starting from the main KL car park. They are free walks - donations welcome - and open to non National Trust members. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
9.30am from main KL car park - Third Monday of each month. As usual, there is no walk in December.
Fun and friendly strolls with one of the Kingston Lacy volunteer walk leaders. Walks are free for all age groups -

Friday 1 June 2018 - Meet 10am at Badbury Rings car park (OS Explorer 118 ST 9960032)
Badbury Rings & Tarrant Rushton walk - Distance 7 miles - Approx 3-4 hours.
This walk goes through woods not normally accessible and covers history from Bronze Age, Iron Age, Romans and the Second World War.
Friday 6 July 2018 - Meet 10am at Badbury Rings car park (OS Explorer 118 ST 960032)
Badbury Rings and High Wood walk - Distance 3 miles - Approx 2 hours.
An opportunity to discover some of the more fascinating aspects of the history and flora and fauna of the ancient Iron Age hillfort of Badbury Rings and High Wood.
Friday 3 August 2018 - Meet 10am at The War Memorial in Shapwick (OS Explorer 11 ST 938017)
Shapwick & Tarrant Crawford walk - Distance 6 miles - Approx 2-33 hours.
A walk through the the fields to Tarrant Crawford to visit the church famous for its 13th century faded wall paintings. We then return to Shapwick along the banks of the River Stour.
